DEI Initiatives

The Association for Constraint Programming (ACP) is committed to upholding practices that support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) among our members, our executive committee, event organizer and other working parties, as well as non-member contributors to our activities.

Importantly, members of the ACP are very sensitive to the respect that is due to those attending the events organized by the association (please see this policy). The ACP has an anti-harassment policy to ensure a harassment-free environment.

In order to deliver on our commitment, our CP-2023 DEI chair and co-chair, Andreína Francisco and Andrea Rendl, jointly with the ACP, are conducting new DEI surveys, offering travel support and mentoring, and organizing a special DEI event during CP 2023.

DEI Travel Support & Mentorship

Update (10 July 2023): Please check out our Call for DEI Scholarship for more information on a scholarship intended for early-career researchers who have historically been underrepresented, for instance in terms of geographical region, cultural background, gender identity, and disability.

DEI Surveys

We would like to collect relevant diversity data about our community and activities in order to help us identify actions to improve diversity and inclusion where needed. Please help us by filling in this year's new diversity survey and our equity and inclusion survey.

Your answers will be handled in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), https://www.uu.se/en/about-uu/data-protection-policy. The survey results will be compiled by Andreína Francisco. The results of the survey will be presented in a report both at the CP-2023 conference and on the ACP website. Results will be presented following anonymization techniques. At least ten responses are required for the results to be presented.
